With regular use of this, I found that the hair that I shaved was softer and easier to shave. I was also using this in conjuction with the positively smooth lotion, so that might have helped as well. There is no fragrance to it really, and I know its probably better for my skin, but I kind of like a little ‘aromatherapy’

Aveeno Positively Smooth Shave Gel.

Sure, you can get a silky-smooth shave, but the hype about active soy compounds minimizing the reappearance of hair and shaving less frequently? Maybe, if you have light hair growth to begin with. But for regular hair, it simply conditions and softens; it doesn’t affect regrowth. The label claims it’s gentle enough for sensitive skin, but the added fragrance could be irritating to some.
