Most people want to get their planning and preparation of a trip done as early on as possible. This would make sense, because after all there are so many different things that you have to think about when it comes to planning a trip but there are benefits that you can get by going with a last minute hotel deal.
With a last minute hotel deal, this would mean that you would be waiting to book a hotel room until say the last week or two before your departure. This would frighten some people to death, but there are certain advantages that are offered from it. For one, by getting a last minute hotel deal, because the hotel is desperately trying to fill all the rooms for that day because of course they want to have as much business as possible, as the date draws nearer, they will continue dropping the price.
Therefore if you get a last minute hotel deal even just a week before your departure day, you can often end up saving half the cost, even more sometimes.
There are lots of different reasons, for one the hotel may just not be full, or some guests may have had to cancel and so there are extra rooms available because of this. Regardless of the reason the rooms are vacant, this is great news for you because then you can go ahead and get a last minute deal with your hotel room.
Other Hotel Deals
Besides getting a last minute hotel deal, there are lots of other great ways to get deals on your travels as well. For instance you can do the same thing with your flight. Rather than booking months in advance, if you wait until the last minute, at least two weeks or less before your departure day, the airlines are going to be looking to fill up those last few empty seats and so they are going to be offering these seats at a discount.
There may be three seats available but they are not together, but as long as you don

Bien Trucha has the best fish tacos i have ever eaten! Every day the guacamole includes a different fruit; when i went it had watermelon and was delicious!! i would recomend a reservation though because there are only 5 tables inside and 4 outside.

This hotel was great for the money……got there a little bit before check in, so they upgraded us to a suite with a jacuzzi tub. the timing of this was awsome due to the fact i had just gotten back from the chiropractor the day before and was having horrible back spasms the whole trip……hotel was walking distance from everything, and i mean everything……easy to find, parking was a breeze……everything was just great……cant wait to go back to the windy city and stay here..

The Four Points Sheraton is very convenient, located in the magnificent mile area and very close (within walking distance) to major shopping, great restaurants and the subway system.
Our room was spacious and less cramped than higher priced rooms in nearby hotels. The service was great, and all of the employees were friendly and professional. …

Four day stay with 2 teenagers. Great location, one block from Michigan Ave. Enjoyed Pizzeria Due (less than one block) and Portillo’s for lunch (4 blocks down Ontario by the Rock n Roll McDonalds-great Chicago hot dogs and polish sausages). Walked to most everything: Michigan Ave shopping, Hancock Observatory (recommend the Signature Room on the 95th floor), Navy Pier, Millenium Park and the Art Institute. The Rock Bottom Brewery and the Red Line were just a couple of blocks away. No concierge but we didn’t have any problems. Great doormen-always friendly and ready to help. Very comfortable beds and free wireless internet. Taxis always handy for night time outings. Highly recommend it for families.
