Great location, one block from Michigan Ave. Enjoyed Pizzeria Due (less than one block) and Portillo's for lunch (4 blocks down Ontario by the Rock n Roll McDonalds-great Chicago hot dogs and polish sausages). Walked to most everything: Michigan Ave shopping, Hancock Observatory (recommend the Signature Room on the 95th floor), Navy Pier, Millenium Park and the Art Institute. The Rock Bottom Brewery and the Red Line were just a couple of blocks away. No concierge but we didn't have any problems. Great doormen-always friendly and ready to help. Very comfortable beds and free wireless internet. Taxis always handy for night time outings. Highly recommend it for families. Four day stay with 2 teenagers. Our room was spacious and less cramped than higher priced rooms in nearby hotels. The service was great, and all of the employees were friendly and professional. ... Every day the guacamole includes a different fruit; when i went it had watermelon and was delicious!! i would recomend a reservation though because there are only 5 tables inside and 4 outside.
